Good game, but the original content doesnt work. Onslaught works fine, but if I click on Training Missions, the app kicks me back to the default i-phone screen.

Was looking for the original or a version of it for the iPad, this falls way short both in graphics and gameplay. Its much shorter than the original and lacks almost everything that made the first game fun, its just a cheap ripoff

Seriously better than the modern re-creations in this series. This is the style and format that made the game have its fame! Now with base development, too!! Buy and support am awesome venture!

Just what I needed. Seriously, this is a must-have for fans of the old XCOM games and just a hands down great game.

Just when I thought Xcom was out of the craze with "Xcom Enemy Unknown" AvH comes out and shows me that Xcom still has a reach in this time period. Its not a FPS its a real hard strategy game with routes to its role model the legendary "Xcom UFO Defence" along with the fact that they constantly update it you need this game if you loved any of the xcom games. A must buy best strategy game on the app store, get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relived by teen years of playing X-Com. Plays great on the iPad, and its just the right amount of difficulty.

This game thrills me! In depth strategy, turn based movement... And many more great features! And I havent even started playing "The Onslaught" yet! I had played X-com a little bit when I was younger, and this is very close. I do find it a little more difficult to play on the 4s thanks to the screen, but not enough to warrant a lower score. Thats the hardware, not the game. The iPad is nice to play this on, and once you get the controls down, you wont do what I did which was lob a grenade into my squad! This is a wonderful reflection of my past and a great addition to strategy games for the iSeries of devices.

As a big fan of the original X-Com, I think this game does a great job of bringing it to iOS. Well worth the price!

This game is turn based with lots of strategy and a few surprises. It really is just like the old pc game if you are a fan. I wish there were a larger version for my mac.

This is a great port of XCOM to iOS; Im playing it on an iPhone 4 with very few issues. Classic turn based, difficult but fair play.

This game is awesome! Its been pretty close to exactly like the original for me so far. I just hope I can get to do the part I loved most about the original. I loved having the psych power to control the aliens with your mind then you could just walk them around killing each other. Loved that so I hope its still in this game. But so far so good for me.

This I so close to Xcom its amazing. In love with this game. No glitches after a weak. Save often, even newb setting is hard!

The game is great when it works, but half of the time it doesnt even recognize the touch commands–even in a menu. That needs to be fixed.

The only complaint I would even nod towards is that sometimes hitting your target is a act of divine intervention. Otherwise a quick to learn and love game just like the original.

X-COM revived! First strategy game I ever played and it still has me wanting more! Great Job, peeps!

A great little tactical combat game that just gets better with each release. Heres hoping ESP and fighters are in the works as well! Edit: after more play time, Im still very pleased but have some requests: - more strategic mission types, like "prevent destruction of a strategic resource" (oil field mission), "save the civilians for more funds/researchers/engineers", etc. Currently theres no reason not to trash the town during a mission. - Better LOS code for multi-level missions. Currently its very easy to see enemies when LOS passes exactly between two wall tiles on different levels, but *shooting* is still impossible. Do I have LOS or dont I? - Auto-save when the game is unloaded by the OS. Holy *Jesus* is it frustrating to use a couple other apps and come back to the game to find the opening screen instead of my mostly-completed mission. I know this is possible; other games do it all the time. Please! Seriously, Im begging. Otherwise, a fantastic game. Great work!

If you were looking for the classic xcom game find something else. I can see how they were trying to recreate some of the fun parts of the game, and the graphics help add to the fun, but if falls apart in the details. The guns/ammo/equipment aspect is completely watered down. Encounters are simplified. This game just generally lacks depth.

As another nostalgic Xcom fan, this is a great turn based strategy game and best Ive played on the iPad. Very true to the original in form and function with some depth lacking (such as crashed ufos, base raids, etc) but future updates look like they will add that. Ive already sunk 20hrs and still going. Controls are better than I expected with only minor issues selecting tiles immediately behind the character. Only small, small complaint is some line of fire quirks in which aliens can fire at you but you cant fire back. This is a top 3 app for me. Now if you guys could port over star control 2.......

Ive not played X-COM before (shame on me), but so far this is incredibly fun, challenging, and tense.
